The Pasquale Celommi Foundation

The Pasquale Celommi Foundation, a Third Sector Entity, (established pursuant to Legislative Decree 117/2017, in continuity with the Pasquale Celommi ONLUS Foundation, established on 16 February 2007 by deed of notary Andrea Costantini of Teramo, with recognition of legal personality by the Prefecture of Teramo on 09/07/2007, registered with the RUNTS since 22/04/2022 DD N. DPG 022/50), was established by will of Professor Fulvia Celommi and is named after her painter grandfather, Pasquale Celommi, "the Abruzzese artist who in his paintings exalted the religious, social and moral values ​​of his land and his people".

The Foundation is a non-profit organization and is a cultural institute aimed at enhancing the moral, ethical and aesthetic values ​​of man. It carries out promotional, training, research and study activities in the field of culture, figurative and non-figurative arts and communication, in the form of voluntary action or provision, production or exchange of goods and/or services.

The main sectors in which the Foundation operates are: Figurative and plastic art related to the historical theme, in particular from the Risorgimento to the Second World War; Figurative art related to the illustration of the Divine Comedy (S. Dalì, G. Doré, S. Melarangelo, R. Coccia and two hundred other established artists, from over fifty nations of the five continents); poetry, literature, music; the management of Cultural Heritage.
The Foundation holds approximately 1,000 works of art including engravings, watercolors, drawings and canvases.

Research and activity in the artistic field has been characterised by:
- curation and printing of the first and second catalog of the II International Biennial of Engraving and Sculpture - Celommi Prize 2021, related to the exhibition of the same name at Palazzo Delfico in Teramo 8-18 October 2019 and at the State Archives of Teramo 23 October-4 November 2021. In collaboration with the city of Teramo, University of Teramo, Liceo Delfico-Montauti; with the patronage of: MiBACT, University of Teramo, City of Teramo, Abruzzo Region, Dante Alighieri National Committee, Province of Teramo, BIM, Tercas Foundation and Rotary Club of Teramo;
- second cataloging 200 works by artists Pasquale and Raffaello Celommi, with update 100 cards First cataloging, ed. Fondazione Celommi, edited by researchers Greta Vicentini, Benedetta Clementoni, 2021-2024;
- research-study of identifying markers in the pictorial work of Pasquale Celommi: diagnostic-analytical technologies for the attribution of works of art in collaboration with YOKOKU, International Organization and La Sapienza University, Rome, 2021-2022;
- care and printing of the valuable volume The colours of the Divine Comedy in the watercolours of Renato Coccia, related to the same exhibition at the municipal premises ARCA Teramo 7-19 May 2018;
- For the high open sea… Landings in the Dante islands - Celebrations 700 years since the death of Dante Alighieri (2020-2021), the Foundation was the leader of the regional promotional committee which includes the University of Teramo and the Municipality of Teramo;
- curation and printing of the catalogue of the III International Biennial of Engraving and Sculpture - Celommi Prize 2023 with critical text by Emidio Di Carlo related to the homonymous exhibition at the Castello della Monica, Teramo 20-28 October 2023.
