Celommi Virtual Exhibition

Celommi Virtual Exhibition was created with the aim of making the works of art held by the Pasquale Celommi ETS Foundation accessible and consultable, with digital and innovative systems. The project is implemented within the framework of the public notice financed by the European Union - NextGenerationEU for the provision of non-repayable contributions in favor of micro and small businesses, third sector entities and profit and non-profit organizations, operating in the cultural and creative sectors to promote innovation and digital transition. The artistic heritage of the Pasquale Celommi ETS Foundation includes hundreds of works of art (sculptures, oils, watercolors, engravings, drawings) by over 100 well-known artists (Salvator Dalì, Gustave Doré, Sandro Melarangelo, Renato Coccia, Bruno Zenobio) and emerging artists, known internationally and whose works have been acquired by the Foundation on the occasion of the various editions of the Celommi Award.

The project develops a 3D Virtual Museum in the Metaverse, using gamification techniques to increase the involvement of young visitors. The Museum, in fact, was created within the Roblox platform, among the most popular in the world in the field of online games, with millions of active users who play, create and share material. 

The ability to access Roblox from any device (PC, Mac, iOS, Android, Amazon Devices, Xbox One, Oculus Rift, and HTC Vive) makes it versatile and widespread. Each user, through their personalized avatar, can access the online environment of the Museum and start their personalized experience.

The online structure of Celommi Virtual Exhibition is divided into thematic rooms: First, Second and Third International Biennial of Engraving and Sculpture, National Artistic Competition, Illustrators of Dante Alighieri, Pasquale and Raffaello Celommi and Greek and Roman Mythology. The works are inserted in the virtual path accompanied by captions and audio to facilitate multisensory fruition.

The selection of works in the Celommi Virtual Exhibition is composed of sculptures, oils, watercolours, engravings and drawings by well-known and emerging artists, which the Pasquale Celommi Foundation has acquired over time, also in the numerous editions of the Celommi Prize, in particular the Biennale Internazionale di Incisione e Scultura and the Concorso Artistico Nazionale. The great importance of the Prize, its longevity, its diffusion at a national and international level have allowed the Pasquale Celommi Foundation to acquire numerous works of art that are currently stored and unavailable for use.
