The present work is simple in the materials employed: a sheet of paper size A4 and crayons. St Mark’s Campanile (Venice) is depicted, easily recognizable thanks to the belfry topped by an attic with effigies of the Lion of St Mark. In the drawing, the Campanile is almost completely submerged in water. Notwithstanding its simplicity, the work discloses the hard truth: if climate change is not reversed, art itself will suffer its consequences as well. (Alessandra Durante)
