The evident creativity in the work of the landscape and the perseverance in the choice of the plant are a real challenge to the persistence of the winter season. The engraving of the design on zinc (in full gestural execution) must have been deep. The graphic richness and, above all, the pronounced tonal translation are expected.

The aspect underlies a realistic naturalistic vein. The representation is impulsive and intricate, but still connected to a creative conscience aimed at disengaging from the entangled arboreal history. Consequently, nature is not to be understood solely in the figurative sense, but as the manifestation of the inner spirituality that moves the artist. In the central plane nature covers itself with a snowy mantle, leaving, however, the underlying formal tangibility to be seen too.

Maria Antonietta Onida completes her landscape vision with the representation of the glacier.

The scenography is based on maximum brightness; it is rich in descriptive facets suggesting new diamonds projected into the freedom of atmospheric space. (Filomena Tavares)
